Secular homeschooling is a nonreligious approach to education that applies the principles of secular education in a home-based setting. Like secular education more generally, it focuses on the natural world and on facts known through reason and evidence.
Secular homeschooling embraces mainstream science, including evolutionary biology, and is inclusive of people of whatever background, sexual orientation, gender expression, or neurodiversity.
A secular education teaches children how to read, write, and do math, and helps them understand the basics of human history and the natural world, with the aim of fostering the knowledge and skills they need to live successful, flourishing lives.
Secular education encourages understanding among people of diverse backgrounds and promotes social cohesion through shared understanding of facts that are accessible through reason.
